यदा वलस्य पीयतो जसुं भेद् बृहस्पतिरग्नितपोभिरर्कैः । दद्भिर्न जिह्वा परिविष्टमाददाविर्निधींरकृणोदुस्रियाणाम्
yadā́ valásya pī́yato jásuṃ bhet bṛ́haspátir agnítapobhir arkáiḥ | dádhbhir ná jihvā́ parivíṣṭam ā́dād āvír nidhī́ṃr akṛṇod usríyāṇām
When Bṛhaspati, with fiery ardours and with hymns, brake the swelling Vala’s jaw, then, as a tongue with teeth takes what is wrapped about, he seized it forth, and made the treasures of the ruddy cows lie manifest.
அக்னித் தபமும் அர்க்கங்களும் கொண்டு, குடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த வீங்கிய வலனின் தாடையை ப்ருஹஸ்பதி உடைத்தபோது—பற்களால் சூழப்பட்ட நாக்கு சுற்றிப் போர்த்தியதை இழுத்தெடுப்பது போல—அதை வெளிக்கொணர்ந்து, உஸ்ரியா (செம்மை உடைய) பசுக்களின் நிதிகளை வெளிப்படச் செய்தான்.
