Sukta 99
अस्येदिन्द्रो वावृधे वृष्ण्यं शवो मदे सुतस्य विष्णवि । अद्या तमस्य महिमानमायवोऽनु ष्टुवन्ति पूर्वथा
asyéd índro vāvṛdhe vṛ́ṣṇyaṃ śávo máde sutásya víṣṇavi | adyā́ tám asya mahimā́nam ā́yavo'nu stuvanti pū́rvathā ||
Hereby, indeed, hath Indra waxed—his bull-like might—in the rapture of the pressed draught, O Viṣṇu. To-day the Āyavas, as erst they did, in due succession laud that majesty of his.
ஓ விஷ்ணுவே! இவ்விதம் (சோமம்) மூலமாகவே, பிழிந்த சோமத்தின் மதத்தில் இந்திரனின் காளைபோன்ற வீரிய-சக்தி வளர்ந்தது. இன்று ஆயவ மக்கள், முன்புபோலவே, வரிசையாக அவன் அந்த மகிமையைப் புகழ்ந்து பாடுகின்றனர்.
