Sukta 93
यद् द्याव इन्द्र ते शतं शतं भूमीरुत स्युः । न त्वा वज्रिन्त्सहस्रं सूर्या अनु न जातमष्ट रोदसी
yád dyā́va indra te śatáṁ śatáṁ bhū́mīr utá syúḥ | ná tvā vajrin sahásraṁ sū́ryā ánu ná jātám áṣṭa ródasī ||
Though, O Indra, there were for thee a hundred heavens, a hundred earths besides—yet thee, O Bolt-bearer, not a thousand suns in sequence could match, within the eightfold compass of the two worlds.
ஏ இந்திரா! உனக்காக நூறு நூறு த்யௌ (வானங்கள்)வும், நூறு நூறு பூமிகளும் இருந்தாலும், ஏ வஜ்ரதாரியே! இரு உலகங்களின் அஷ்ட-விஸ்தாரத்தின் (எட்டு திசை வட்டத்தின்) உள்ளே, தொடர்ச்சியாக எழும் ஆயிரம் சூரியர்களும் உனக்கு இணையாக முடியாது.
