FAQs

It gives a practical Ayurvedic-perfumery method: cleanse areca-nut using a pañcapallava herbal infusion and then scent it with guṭikā-type aromatic pellets to create a mukhavāsaka (breath/mouth freshener).

Beyond theology, it preserves applied knowledge—daily hygiene, herbal cleansing, and aromatics—showing the text’s coverage of health and lifestyle techniques alongside ritual and doctrine.

Purifying and perfuming the mouth supports śauca (cleanliness) and fitness for mantra, worship, and social conduct, aligning bodily discipline with ritual purity.
