Ayurvedic pharmaceutics for oral care: preparing guṭikā (medicinal pastilles) from mango juice to be kept in the mouth as a deodorizing and disease-removing remedy.

It shows the text’s practical, cross-disciplinary scope by including applied medical formulations (Ayurveda) alongside theology and ritual—specifically a concrete recipe-like instruction for treating mukharoga.

By promoting cleanliness, fragrance, and health of speech-organs (mouth), the remedy supports purity in daily conduct and enables clearer recitation, prayer, and truthful speech—traditional supports for sattva and merit.
