Skanda (deduced)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra / Somnātha
Type: kshetra
Scene: Pilgrims in Prabhāsa stand facing a liṅga and a Viṣṇu shrine, hands folded, chanting alternating names of Nṛsiṃha–Vāmana–Keśava and ‘Rudra’ repeatedly, with waves of the western sea and temple lamps behind them.
Devotional repetition of divine names—of both Viṣṇu and Śiva—functions as a strong purifier and protector in Purāṇic dharma.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, where correct devotion and nāma-recitation are presented as restoring auspiciousness.
Nāma-japa: reciting names such as Nṛsiṃha/Vāmana/Keśava and repeating “Rudra,” along with salutations to Śiva.
