vasiṣṭha uvāca | karmakālaśca samprāpto yajñe'sminsurasattama | sa vinā na tvayā deva siddhiṃ yāsyati karhicit
Vasiṣṭha
Scene: Vasiṣṭha, firm yet respectful, addresses Brahmā: the critical ritual moment has arrived; without Brahmā’s presence the satra cannot be completed.
Dharma requires right timing and right participation; sacred works fail when essential duties are neglected.
The verse focuses on yajña-dharma; the surrounding passage situates it in the Tripuṣkara/Puṣkara sacred geography.
The sacrifice must proceed at the proper karmakāla and requires the necessary officiant’s presence for siddhi.
