Tirtha: Jyeṣṭha Puṣkara
Type: kund
Listener: Brāhmaṇas
Scene: A radiant lotus floats above the lake; at its center stands a tiny thumb-sized luminous Puruṣa, serene and resplendent. Devotees who have just bathed stand with folded hands, awed yet peaceful.
Faithful practice (śraddhā + proper snāna) opens one to divine darśana, which consummates the merit of pilgrimage.
Jyeṣṭha Puṣkara, where the lotus-sign and the thumb-sized ‘Puruṣa’ are seen.
To bathe properly (su-snātaiḥ) and approach with faith (śraddhayopetaiḥ) to gain the tīrtha’s full fruit.
