Sukta 10.48
अहमिन्द्रो रोधो वक्षो अथर्वणस्त्रिताय गा अजनयमहेरधि । अहं दस्युभ्यः परि नृम्णमा ददे गोत्रा शिक्षन्दधीचे मातरिश्वने ॥
ahám índro ródho vákṣo átharvaṇas tritā́ya gā́ ajanayam áher ádhi | aháṃ dásyubhyaḥ pári nṛ́mṇam ā́ dade gotrā́ śíkṣan dadhī́ce mātáriśvane ||
अहमिन्द्रः; अहं रोधः प्रतिरोधी, अथर्वणः शक्तेर्वक्षो विस्तीर्णम्। त्रितायाहं सर्पस्योपरि स्थिताद् गवां रश्मीन् (दीप्तीन्) अजनयम्। दस्युभ्यः परि नृम्णं दधे; मातरिश्वने दधीचिं गोत्राः—गूढाः पण्याः—शिक्षयामास, येन रहस्यमग्निर्भर्तुं शक्येत।
