दुःखमूलमहं तात निकर्शामि भृशं द्विज । सौख्यं पश्चादहं दद्मि यदि सत्यं न मुंचति

duḥkhamūlamahaṃ tāta nikarśāmi bhṛśaṃ dvija | saukhyaṃ paścādahaṃ dadmi yadi satyaṃ na muṃcati

तात, हे द्विज, अहं दुःखमूलं भृशं निकर्षामि; पश्चात् यदि स सत्यं न मुञ्चति तदा अहं सौख्यं ददामि।
