Narada (teaching in a tirtha-mahatmya narrative frame)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It teaches the doctrine of karma-phala: sustained merit (puṇya) can yield heavenly honor in Soma-loka and later manifest as an auspicious rebirth, here described as becoming a dhārmika (righteous) king.
While the verse speaks in terms of merit and results, it supports bhakti indirectly by showing that dharma-aligned acts—often performed with devotion in tirthas and vows—produce elevated states and a future life inclined toward righteous rule and service.
The verse implies a cosmological framework used in Jyotiṣa (Vedic astronomy/astrology): the idea of loka-gati (movement to worlds like Soma-loka) and time-measures (years) used to describe the duration of karmic results.
