पूर्वचूर्णोद्भवो दाहः तेनौषधेन शान्तोऽभूत् । ततः प्रभृति मे भर्ता वश्योऽभूद्वचने स्थितः ॥
Unnamed woman (narrating an episode within the Adhyaya); primary frame traditionally attributed to sages in Narada Purana dialogues
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"karuna","secondary_rasa":"bibhatsa","emotional_journey":"Relief from physical burning through a remedy shifts into an unsettling note of coercive control within marriage."}
It portrays cause-and-effect through a practical episode: an affliction caused by an earlier act is pacified by an appropriate remedy, leading to a change in household dynamics—illustrating how actions and corrective measures shape lived dharma.
This specific verse is not directly a bhakti teaching; it functions as narrative detail. In the Purana style, such episodes often support broader instruction by showing tangible outcomes of actions and prescribed measures alongside devotional frameworks elsewhere in the dialogue.
The verse primarily reflects applied knowledge of aushadha (remedial/therapeutic practice) rather than a formal Vedanga; it aligns more with practical conduct and applied remedies than with śikṣā, vyākaraṇa, or jyotiṣa in this line.
