Sanatkumara (teaching Narada the technical mantra-lakṣaṇa: devatā–viniyoga–bīja–śakti)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It formalizes the mantra’s structure—deity (Hṛṣīkeśa/Viṣṇu), purpose (attaining all aims), seed (bīja), and power (śakti)—showing that right orientation of worship and correct ritual definition are integral to effective sādhana.
By naming Hṛṣīkeśa as the devatā, it anchors the practice in Viṣṇu-centered devotion; the devotee’s senses (hṛṣīka) are offered to the Lord of the senses, aligning desire (kāma) into a sanctified, God-directed intention.
It highlights mantra-prayoga conventions used in ritual manuals—identifying devatā, viniyoga, bīja, and śakti—an applied, technical framework closely associated with Vedāṅga-style ritual precision and correct recitation/application.
