It highlights divine order and harmony: Hari acts with Mahesha’s assent, showing that sacred acts and divine missions proceed with proper sanction and cosmic alignment.
By portraying Hari as uniquely worthy (the staff “fit for none other”) and as reverently honoring Mahesha’s consent, the verse models humility and reverence—key devotional attitudes in Vaiṣṇava practice.
Indirectly, it reflects itihāsa-purāṇa style transmission used alongside Vedāṅga disciplines: precise naming (Nāgāntaka) and authoritative attribution (Mahesha’s anu-mati) function like textual markers for correct ritual/place-based remembrance.
