Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: Ekādaśī-vrata
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It declares Ekādaśī fasting (nirāhāra) as a powerful purificatory vrata capable of lifting even a heavily sinful person toward the supreme goal (parā gati), emphasizing divine grace accessed through disciplined observance.
Ekādaśī is traditionally devoted to Viṣṇu; the verse frames fasting as a devotional act that redirects the mind from indulgence to remembrance and surrender, making bhakti practical through vrata-dharma.
It implicitly relies on calendrical/ritual timing—observing Ekādaśī by the lunar tithi (a jyotiṣa-based ritual marker)—showing how correct vrata timing supports dharma in practice.
