Adhyaya 74 — King Svarashtra, the Deer-Queen’s Curse, and the Rise of Tamasa Manu
विशेषतश्च राजासौ पुत्रे जाते महाबले ।
सा विमुक्ता मृगी शापात् प्राप लोकाननुत्तमान् ॥
viśeṣataś ca rājāsau putre jāte mahābale / sā vimuktā mṛgī śāpāt prāpa lokān anuttamān
विशेषतः स राजा महाबलस्य पुत्रस्य जन्मनि हृष्टः; सा हरिणी शापविमुक्ता अनुत्तमान् लोकान् अवाप।
Suffering born of curse/karma is not necessarily permanent; when its condition is fulfilled, restoration and higher attainment become possible.
Vamśānucarita: the episode closes a karmic subplot while securing the lineage narrative that supports Manvantara history.
Release into ‘unsurpassed worlds’ suggests transmutation: a fall into lower embodiment can culminate in ascent when the destined dharmic function is completed.
