Adhyaya 64 — Kalavati (Vibhavari) Offers Herself and the Padmini Vidya to Svarocisha
साहं प्राणप्रदायाद्य तां विद्यां स्वं तथा वपुः ।
प्रयच्छामि प्रतीच्छ त्वं प्रसादसुमुखो मम ॥
sāhaṃ prāṇapradāyādya tāṃ vidyāṃ svaṃ tathā vapuḥ / prayacchāmi pratīccha tvaṃ prasādasumukho mama
तस्मादहं प्राणानद्य प्रदाय तां विद्यां स्वकीयां च तनुं ददामि। तद्गृहाण, मयि प्रसन्ना भव।
Boons are not merely transactional: the verse frames giving as self-involvement (vapuḥ) and asks for reciprocal grace—power should be received with responsibility and reverence.
Manvantara narrative material: illustrates how extraordinary capacities (vidyā, prosperity-control) are conferred within a particular time-cycle and its exemplars.
Granting prāṇa and vapuḥ suggests ‘ensoulment’ and ‘embodiment’ of the vidyā—i.e., the power becomes operative only when it takes form within the recipient’s life-force and identity.
