Adhyaya 89: शौचाचारलक्षणम् — सदाचार, भैक्ष्यचर्या, प्रायश्चित्त, द्रव्यशुद्धि, आशौच-निर्णय

न वदेत्सर्वयत्नेन अनिष्टं न स्मरेत्सदा यतीनामासनं वस्त्रं दण्डाद्यं पादुके तथा

na vadetsarvayatnena aniṣṭaṃ na smaretsadā yatīnāmāsanaṃ vastraṃ daṇḍādyaṃ pāduke tathā

सर्वयत्नेनानिष्टं न वदेत्, न च तदेव सदा स्मरेत्। यतीनामासनं वस्त्रं दण्डाद्यं पादुके च नोपभुञ्जीत न निन्देत नाभिलषेत्। एषा संयमवृत्तिः पाशबन्धात् पशुं रक्षति, पतिप्राप्तिमार्गं च शिवं प्रति पोषयति।
