अचि॑कित्वांस्चिकि॒तुष॑श्चि॒दत्र॑ क॒वीन् पृ॑च्छामि वि॒द्वनो॒ न वि॒द्वान्। वि यस्त॒स्तम्भ षडि॒मा रजां॑स्य॒जस्य॑ रू॒पे किमपि॑ स्वि॒देक॑म्
ácikित्वāṃś cikítuṣaś cid átra kavī́n pṛcchāmi vidváno ná vidvā́n | ví yás tastámbha ṣáḍ imā́ rájāṃsy ajásya rūpé kím ápi svíd ékam
Unknowing, I question here the seers—even the discerning—one who would know, yet is no knower: Who hath set apart and propped these six regions—in the Unborn’s form—what single thing, pray, is it?
अचिकित्वानहं चिकीषुश्चिदत्र कवीन् चिकीर्षूनपि पृच्छामि—विद्वन्निवाविद्वान्। कः षडिमानि रजांसि व्यतस्तम्भ व्यपृथक् च स्थापयामास? अजस्य (अजन्मनः) रूपे किमेकं वस्तु, किमिदं स्विदिति?
