Atharva Veda 9.2.24 — Kanda 9, Anuvaka 1, Sukta 2, Mantra 24

Sukta 2

न वै वात॑श्च॒न काम॑माप्नोति॒ नाग्निः सूर्यो॒ नोत च॒न्द्रमाः॑ । तत॒स्त्वम॑सि॒ ज्याया॑न् वि॒श्वहा॑ म॒हांस्तस्मै॑ ते काम॒ नम॒ इत् कृ॑णोमि

ná vai vā́taś cana kā́mam ā́pnoti nā́gníḥ sū́ryo nótá candrámāḥ | tatás tvám asi jyā́yān viśváhā mahā́ṁs tásmai te kā́ma náma ít kṛṇomi

Verily the Wind attains not Kāma, nor Agni, nor the Sun, nor yet the Moon. Therefrom art thou the greater, evermore the mighty: to thee, O Kāma, I do indeed make reverent homage.
