राज्ञः संवरणम्। आ त्वा हार्षम्; अन्तरभूः। ध्रुवस्तिष्ठ, अविचाचलत्। विशस्त्वा सर्वा वाञ्छन्तु; मा त्वद् राष्ट्रम् अधि भ्रशत्।

इहैव इधि; मा च्योष्ठाः। पर्वत इव अविचाचलः। इन्द्र इव इह ध्रुवः तिष्ठ; इह राष्टम् धारय।

इन्द्र॑ ए॒तम॑दीधरत् ध्रु॒वं ध्रु॒वेण॑ ह॒विषा॑ । तस्मै॒ सोमो॒ अधि॑ ब्रवद॒यं च॒ ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पतिः॑
इन्द्र एतत् अदीधरत्—ध्रुवं ध्रुवेण हविषा। तस्मै सोमः अधि अब्रवीत्; अयं च ब्रह्मणस्पतिः।
To ritually secure and stabilize the king so that the kingdom does not “slip away,” and so the people remain favorably disposed toward his rule.
