अनु प्रत्नस्यौकसः प्रियमेधास एषाम्। पूर्वामनु प्रयतिं वृक्तबर्हिषो हितप्रयस आशत

IAST Transliteration

ánu pratnásyaukásaḥ priyámédhāsa eṣām | pū́rvām ánu práyatiṃ vṛ́ktabarhiṣo hitáprayasa āśata

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Following the ancient seat, these dear-offerers—having strewn the grass and set the oblations—attained, in accordance with the former course, the appointed rite’s successful end.

Translation

प्रत्नस्यौकसः अनु, एते प्रियमेधासः—वृक्तबर्हिषः हितप्रयसो हवींषि निधाय—पूर्वाम् अनु प्रयतिं, नियतस्य कर्मणः सिद्धान्तं प्रापुः।
