FAQs

It teaches a nimitta-based remedy: perform bali with specific food-offerings (kṛśarā, pūpa, dadhi), plus ritual bath (snāna) and fumigation (dhūpana), and it identifies arm “āsphoṭa” and “garjana” in the ninth year as fear-indicating omens.

It combines prognostics (nimitta/jyotiṣa-style omen reading) with practical ritual countermeasures (bali, snāna, dhūpa), illustrating how the Agni Purana links predictive signs to prescribed rites across multiple knowledge-domains.

The offerings, purification bath, and incense act as propitiation and cleansing measures intended to pacify inauspicious forces signaled by bodily/ambient omens, reducing the karmic and spiritual disturbance associated with fear-producing portents.
