या तिथिर्दयिता विष्णोः सा तिथिर्मम वल्लभा । न तां चोपोषयेद्यस्तु स पापिष्ठतराधिकः
yā tithirdayitā viṣṇoḥ sā tithirmama vallabhā | na tāṃ copoṣayedyastu sa pāpiṣṭhatarādhikaḥ
Та титхи (лунный день), что дорог Вишну, дорог и мне. Но кто не соблюдает пост в этот день, тот ещё более тяжко грешен.
