Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: General ritual instruction: re-establish the maṇḍala, worship its aṅgas (auxiliaries/limbs), and install a consecrated vessel of specified measure as the receptacle for offerings.
Significance: Emphasizes śāstra-measure (māna) and correct sequencing; precision is treated as a means to remove ritual defects (doṣa) and secure efficacy.
It emphasizes that devotion (bhakti) is supported by disciplined order: preparing a consecrated space (maṇḍala) and performing worship with proper auxiliaries trains the mind toward purity and one-pointedness for Shiva.
The maṇḍala and the placed vessel function as supports in Saguna upāsanā—external, reverent arrangements that stabilize attention and sanctify offerings directed to Shiva (often in linga-pūjā contexts).
A structured pūjā-krama: draw a maṇḍala, worship its associated elements, then establish a properly measured vessel (like a kalasha/offerings container), maintaining precision and purity as a form of meditative discipline.
