भरतस्य मातृसदनगमनं कैकेय्या दारुणवृत्तान्तकथनं च
Bharata in Kaikeyi’s apartments: revelation of Daśaratha’s death and Rāma’s exile
स रुदित्वा चिरं कालं भूमौ विपरिवृत्य च।जननीं प्रत्युवाचेदं शोकैर्बहुभिरावृतः।।2.72.26।।
sa ruditvā ciraṃ kālaṃ bhūmau viparivṛtya ca | jananīṃ pratyuvācedaṃ śokair bahubhir āvṛtaḥ || 2.72.26 ||
Долго рыдая и катаясь по земле, Бхарата, покрытый множеством скорбей, ответил матери такими словами.
Bharata engulfed in profuse sorrow wept for a long time rolling on the ground and then said these words in reply to his mother:
Dharma involves truthful speech after reflection: grief is acknowledged, then one returns to dialogue and responsibility.
After intense mourning, Bharata gathers himself enough to respond to Kaikeyī.
Emotional honesty joined to readiness for counsel—he moves from collapse toward communication.
