Dvādaśī-vrata-nirṇaya and Mahā-dvādaśī Lakṣaṇas
पुनः प्रातः समभ्यर्च्य ब्राह्मणाय निवेदयेत् । ब्रह्मणान्भोजयेच्चैव तेभ्यो दद्याच्च दक्षिणाम् ॥ ६ ॥
punaḥ prātaḥ samabhyarcya brāhmaṇāya nivedayet | brahmaṇānbhojayeccaiva tebhyo dadyācca dakṣiṇām || 6 ||
Снова утром, совершив должное поклонение, следует поднести освящённую пищу (прасада) брахману; также следует накормить брахманов и затем дать им предписанную дакшину (dakṣiṇā).
Narada (instructional narration within a ritual context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches that worship is completed by service—offering consecrated food, feeding worthy recipients, and giving dakṣiṇā—so devotion becomes tangible through dāna and hospitality.
Bhakti here is not only inner prayer but also respectful offering (naivedya) and honoring the sacred community (Brāhmaṇas) through feeding and gifts, aligning daily life with dharma.
It reflects kalpa (ritual procedure): the sequence of morning pūjā, naivedya, bhojana to Brāhmaṇas, and dakṣiṇā as a concluding rite that validates the offering.
