The Account of the Third-day Vow Observed through the Twelve Months

Vrata: Gaurī-vrata
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: vira
It teaches that long-term vrata-observance should culminate in a properly vowed dāna (gift with saṅkalpa), so the merit of the vow becomes complete and ritually “sealed” through utsarga-siddhi.
By prescribing sustained worship through Gaurī-vrata and concluding it with a dedicated offering, the verse frames devotion as steady practice plus selfless giving, not merely a temporary sentiment.
Ritual procedure (kalpa/vidhi) is implied through saṅkalpa and utsarga—how a vow is formally concluded through a prescribed donation, reflecting applied dharma-śāstra style ritual discipline.
