Sanatkumara (addressing Narada as 'vatsa')
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It affirms the Purana’s status as pramāṇa (authoritative sacred testimony) and emphasizes that mindful hearing (śravaṇa) and recitation (kīrtana) are themselves spiritually efficacious practices.
By praising kīrtana and śravaṇa done with samādhāna (collected attention), it aligns with core bhakti methods—devotion grows through repeated recitation and receptive listening to sacred narratives and teachings.
The verse highlights pramāṇa (valid authority) and disciplined transmission—principles closely tied to correct recitation and listening practices supported by Śikṣā (phonetics) and Vyākaraṇa (grammar) for preserving meaning.
