Related Themes: Agni Purana 35 (vrata/upavāsa and pūjā-vidhi context)
It prescribes a vrata-style ritual sequence: purification with pañcagavya, performance of a caru oblation, ritual dental cleansing with a dantakāṣṭha, and maintaining night-long vigil through Purāṇa-hearing and stotra-chanting.
It blends practical ritual hygiene (dantakāṣṭha), sacrificial procedure (caru), purification science (pañcagavya), and devotional liturgy (Purāṇa-śravaṇa, stotra, jāgaraṇa), illustrating the text’s coverage of both rite and daily religious discipline.
The verse frames bodily purification and disciplined night vigil with sacred listening/chanting as merit-producing observance—supporting ritual purity, steadiness of mind, and devotional accumulation of puṇya through śravaṇa and stotra.
