Marital Fidelity and Ethical Devotion
वर्त्तमानापि विप्रेन्द्र प्रत्याख्यातापि वा सदा ॥ न दैवतं सम्प्रयाति पत्युर्न्यं कदाचन ॥
varttamānāpi viprendra pratyākhyātāpi vā sadā || na daivataṃ samprayāti patyuranyaṃ kadācana ||
Ó melhor dos brâmanes, ainda que ela viva separada (dele), ou ainda que seja sempre rejeitada, jamais, em tempo algum, recorre a outra “divindade” senão ao próprio esposo.
