Dīkṣā-sūtra
कन्यां दत्त्वा पुनस्तांस्तु कर्मणा नोपपादयेत् ॥ अष्टौ पितृगणास्तेन हिंसिता नात्र संशयः ॥
kanyāṃ dattvā punas tāṃs tu karmaṇā nopapādayet || aṣṭau pitṛgaṇās tena hiṃsitā nātra saṃśayaḥ ||
Tendo entregue uma donzela (em casamento), não se deve depois desfazer isso por atos rituais; com isso, oito grupos de ancestrais são prejudicados—sem dúvida.
