Transliteration

evaṃ varṣasahasrāṃte bhramatastasyabhūtalam | viprasya pakṣināthasya varārthāya drijottamāḥ

Translation

Assim, após mil anos de errância pela terra em busca de um noivo, o mais excelente dos brâmanes prosseguiu na procura, levado pelo senhor das aves.
