ततस्ते ब्राह्मणास्तत्र संहृष्टा वरमुत्तमम् । ददुस्तस्य स च प्राह मन्नामैतत्पुरोत्तमम् । सदैव ख्यातिमायातु एतन्मे हृदि वांछितम्
tataste brāhmaṇāstatra saṃhṛṣṭā varamuttamam | dadustasya sa ca prāha mannāmaitatpurottamam | sadaiva khyātimāyātu etanme hṛdi vāṃchitam
Então os brāhmaṇas ali, exultantes, concederam-lhe uma dádiva excelsa. E ele disse: “Que esta cidade, a melhor das cidades, traga o meu nome; que alcance fama para sempre—isto é o que meu coração há muito deseja.”
