ततश्चक्रे पिता नाम वटेश्वर इति स्वयम् । वटस्थेन यतो दत्तः संतुष्टेनांशुमालिना
tataścakre pitā nāma vaṭeśvara iti svayam | vaṭasthena yato dattaḥ saṃtuṣṭenāṃśumālinā
Então o pai, por si mesmo, deu-lhe o nome de “Vaṭeśvara”, pois fora concedido por Aṃśumālī (o deus Sol), satisfeito enquanto permanecia junto à figueira‑de‑bengala (vaṭa).
