मधूक तव पुष्पेण दयितायाः समौ शुभौ । कपोलौ पांडुरच्छायौ दृष्ट्वा त्वां स्मृतिमागतौ
madhūka tava puṣpeṇa dayitāyāḥ samau śubhau | kapolau pāṃḍuracchāyau dṛṣṭvā tvāṃ smṛtimāgatau
Ó árvore madhūka, tua flor traz-me à lembrança as duas faces auspiciosas de minha amada—de pálida doçura e formosas; ao ver-te, essa memória voltou a mim.
