दुःशील उवाच । सतां सप्तपदीं मैत्रीं प्रवदंति मनीषिणः । मित्रतां तु पुरस्कृत्य किंचिद्वक्ष्यामि तच्छृणु
duḥśīla uvāca | satāṃ saptapadīṃ maitrīṃ pravadaṃti manīṣiṇaḥ | mitratāṃ tu puraskṛtya kiṃcidvakṣyāmi tacchṛṇu
Duḥśīla disse: “Os sábios declaram que, entre os virtuosos, a amizade se torna firme após sete passos dados juntos. Honrando essa amizade, direi algo—ouve.”
