स विद्धोऽपि स्वयं तेन त्रिशूलेन महासुरः । ब्रह्मणो वरमाहात्म्यान्नैव प्राणैविर्युज्यते
sa viddho'pi svayaṃ tena triśūlena mahāsuraḥ | brahmaṇo varamāhātmyānnaiva prāṇaiviryujyate
Ainda que ferido por aquele mesmo tridente, o grande asura não perdeu o sopro vital, devido ao poder da dádiva concedida por Brahmā.
