yasya no brāhmaṇo brūte yajñasyāṃte pratarpitaḥ | tarpito'smīti tattasya vṛthā syādyajñajaṃ phalam | yadi koṭiguṇaṃ dattamapi śraddhāsamanvitam
Type: kshetra
Scene: A solemn moment after yajña: the yajamāna looks anxious as the brāhmaṇa remains silent, not uttering ‘tṛpto’smi’; heaps of gifts lie unused, symbolizing futility without proper satisfaction.
Dharma is validated by lived effect—if the rightful recipient is not truly satisfied, ritual merit collapses into emptiness.
No specific tīrtha is named; the teaching functions as universal yajña-dharma within a tīrtha-oriented chapter.
At yajña completion, ensure a qualified brāhmaṇa is properly honored and satisfied, confirmed by his explicit declaration.
