Vratin (devotee) addressing Gaurī (quoted within Īśvara’s instruction)
Scene: At sunrise, the devotee stands with folded hands before Viśvabhujā Gaurī, speaking the vow and pleading for her presence; the Goddess appears vivid and near, suggesting sānnidhya; light rays and temple lamps mingle.
Sankalpa (intent) becomes sacred when placed before the Mother as a request for her presence and guidance.
The broader frame is Kāśī in the Kāśīkhaṇḍa; the verse itself is a vow-prayer rather than a site-description.
A morning vow-intention/prayer asking Gaurī to be present so that the intended spiritual aim (manoratha) is fulfilled.
