Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 86

दंतकेशांबरादीनि नित्यं शोध्यानि यत्नतः । अनिष्टचिंता नो कार्या व्रतिना हृद्यपि क्वचित्

Transliteration

daṃtakeśāṃbarādīni nityaṃ śodhyāni yatnataḥ | aniṣṭaciṃtā no kāryā vratinā hṛdyapi kvacit

Translation

Dentes, cabelos, vestes e semelhantes devem ser purificados diariamente com cuidado. O observante do voto não deve alimentar pensamentos nocivos ou infaustos, nem mesmo no coração, em tempo algum.
