śivaśarmovāca | aho gaṇau vicitreyaṃ śrutā cāṃdramasī kathā | uḍulokakathāṃ khyātaṃ viṣvagākhyānakovidau

Disse Śivaśarman: «Ah, ó dois Gaṇas, quão maravilhosa é esta narrativa lunar que ouvi! Sois famosos como mestres da narração, hábeis em contar a célebre história do mundo das estrelas».
