Type: kshetra
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: Mārkaṇḍeya, seated as a venerable rishi, instructs Yudhiṣṭhira on the next stop: the Karañjeśvara shrine; in the background, a Śiva-liṅga beneath a karañja tree and the suggestion of the Revā’s flow; a daitya-ascetic figure implied as the famed siddha.
Sacred geography is a path of transformation: even unlikely beings become siddha through contact with a Śiva-kṣetra.
Karañjeśvara—an eminent Śiva site introduced as the next destination in the Revā Khaṇḍa pilgrimage sequence.
A direct pilgrimage instruction: “one should go” (gacchet) to Karañjeśvara.
