अन्तराय-उपसर्ग-विवेचनम् / Analysis of Yogic Obstacles (Antarāyas) and Upasargas

Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Sthala Purana: Not a jyotirliṅga narrative; it asserts krama (gradual order) of siddhi within the taught sādhana.
Significance: Encourages perseverance: siddhis and inner transformations unfold sequentially as pāśa is attenuated and Śiva’s grace becomes operative.
Role: teaching
It affirms a core Shaiva sādhanā principle: progress is orderly and cumulative—through disciplined devotion and yogic practice oriented to Pati (Shiva), attainments arise naturally over time, removing doubt and impatience.
Linga/Saguna worship trains steadiness (niṣṭhā) and purity; as devotion matures, grace-supported inner transformations unfold in sequence, culminating in deeper realization rather than merely chasing powers.
Consistent daily sādhanā—Pañcākṣarī japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), Tripuṇḍra-bhasma and Rudrākṣa observance, and meditation on Shiva—done regularly, with gradual results expected.
