पञ्चावरणमार्गस्थं योगेश्वरस्तोत्रम्
Pañcāvaraṇa-mārga Stotra to Yogeśvara Śiva
पवित्रं परमं ब्रह्म प्रार्थितं मे प्रयच्छतु । शिवस्य तु शिवायाश्च हृन्मूर्तिशिवभाविते
pavitraṃ paramaṃ brahma prārthitaṃ me prayacchatu | śivasya tu śivāyāśca hṛnmūrtiśivabhāvite
Que o Brahman supremo, puríssimo e transcendente, me conceda aquilo que roguei—ó tu que és a forma do coração de Śiva e de Śivā (Pārvatī), e estás permeada pelo próprio estado de Śiva.
Suta Goswami (narrating the Vāyavīya discourse to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya; the verse reads like a prayer within that narration)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Mantra: pavitraṃ paramaṃ brahma prārthitaṃ me prayacchatu | śivasya tu śivāyāśca hṛnmūrtiśivabhāvite
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
It frames liberation as grace: the “supremely pure Brahman” is invoked as Śiva-consciousness dwelling in the heart, indicating that the highest reality is realized inwardly and bestowed through Śiva’s anugraha (divine favor).
While the Liṅga supports saguna worship externally, this verse emphasizes the inner Liṅga—Śiva and Śivā as the heart-form—pointing from ritual symbol to direct contemplation of Śiva-bhāva within.
Mānasa-japa and dhyāna: repeat the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) while visualizing Śiva-Śakti established in the heart-lotus, praying for the desired boon as an expression of surrender.
