It shows that even the highest devas approach Shiva with humility and surrender; reverent praise (stuti) and folded-hands devotion express recognition of Shiva as Pati (the Supreme Lord) who grants grace and liberation.
The verse highlights Saguna Shiva—Śaṅkara as Girijādhipa—who is approachable through devotion, praise, and salutations; such bhakti is a primary mode of worship alongside Linga-veneration in Shaiva practice.
Perform namaskāra with añjali (folded palms) and recite Shiva-stuti; as a simple practice, chant the Panchakshara “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with humility before beginning any Shiva-puja.
