उदु ष्य शरणे दिवो ज्योतिरयंस्त सूर्यः । अग्निर्न शुक्रः समिधान आहुतः ॥
Transliteration
úd u ṣyá śaraṇé divó jyótiḥ ayaṃsta sū́ryaḥ | agnír ná śukráḥ samidhāná ā́hutaḥ ||
Translation
Lá no alto, na altura abrigadora do céu, Sūrya pôs a luz em movimento; como um Agni luminoso, aceso pela oferenda, ele flameja — despertando a chama vidente em nossa noite humana.
