Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in a technical context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
This verse shows that Moksha Dharma instruction in the Narada Purana also preserves Vedāṅga knowledge—especially Jyotiṣa—teaching how cosmic order (ṛta) is read through planetary placements to understand tendencies and karmic results.
Indirectly: by mapping mental and practical strengths (e.g., Mercury’s predominance), it supports disciplined living and right decision-making, which in turn stabilizes sādhana and devotion; it is a supportive, diagnostic teaching rather than a direct bhakti exhortation.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa: evaluation of planetary strength based on house placement—kendra (angles), aṣṭama (8th), and antya (12th)—to judge when Mercury is considered stronger than Venus in a nativity.
