Sanatkumara (teaching Narada the indications of graha-yogas)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
It frames planetary afflictions as karmic indicators: when harsh influences dominate the mind (afflicted buddhi), one is drawn toward degrading associations and restrictive circumstances, which obstruct dharma and inner clarity needed for moksha.
By implication, it shows that disturbed mental tendencies and bad company arise from adverse karmic patterns; bhakti is protected by seeking sattvic association (satsaṅga) and disciplines that steady the mind against such afflictions.
Jyotiṣa (Vedāṅga astrology): the verse uses house-based logic (kendra, aṣṭama) and graha relations (Mars afflicted by Saturn, hostility to the Moon) to describe concrete life-results of specific planetary placements.
