जामयश्च गुरुं चैव गृहस्थो विभवे सति । श्वभ्यश्च श्वपचेभ्यश्च वयोभ्यश्चावपेद् भुवि ॥

jāmayaś ca guruṃ caiva gṛhastho vibhave sati | śvabhyaś ca śvapacebhyaś ca vayobhyaś cāvaped bhuvi ||

Quando tiver recursos, o chefe de família deve também amparar os seus dependentes e o seu mestre; e deve colocar oferendas no chão para os cães, para os excluídos (como os que cozinham cães) e para os idosos ou anciãos.
